Leduc Alberta

It All Begins Here

Why Leduc

Leduc is more than just a location for our wedding. It is where my story began.

This is the place where I was born and raised. It’s where I took my first steps, learned who I was, and began the journey that shaped the man I am today. It’s also where my faith first took root. My Christian walk started here, guided by family, community, and the example of those who came before me.

My mom played a big role in that journey. She served as a lay pastor and was deeply involved in St.Davids United Church before going on to help plant Millwoods United Church. Her faith, leadership, and love continue to influence my life in ways that words can’t fully capture.

Leduc is also where my family rests. The garden holds generations of my history, my mother, my grandfather, and my great-grandparents. It is a place of reflection, memory, and connection. Being there reminds me of where I come from and the legacy that has been passed down to me.

Choosing to have our celebration here is our way of honoring that legacy.

Helena and I wanted our wedding to be more than just a celebration of our future. We wanted it to also be a recognition of the past, the people who shaped us, guided us, and loved us into who we are today.

In many ways, they are still with us.

Their influence is part of our story, part of our relationship, and part of the foundation we are building together. Bringing our wedding to Leduc allows us to carry that history forward, to stand in a place that holds so much meaning, and to begin this next chapter surrounded by both memory and love.

This is where it started.
And it feels right that this is where we say “I do.”
